Ras?m?tam is a classical textbook of Rasashastra (Ayurvedic Iatrochemistry and Pharmaceutics), widely referred to by students and practitioners of Ayurveda. The book deals with the fundamentals of Rasa dravyas (metals, minerals, and mercurial preparations), their processing (Shodhana and Marana), formulations, therapeutic uses, and safety guidelines.
